Femtosecond Pulse Compression System (MPC)

The multi-pass cell (MPC)-based pulse compression system enables spectral broadening via nonlinear self-phase modulation, followed by chirp compensation to achieve few-cycle pulse durations. It is a compact and robust solution for post-compression of high-energy femtosecond pulses.

Femtosecond Mid‑Infrared Systems and Their Applications

Femtosecond mid‑infrared (MIR) systems are ultrafast laser sources with output wavelengths covering the 2–20 µm spectral range and pulse durations on the femtosecond (10⁻¹⁵ s) timescale. These systems are typically realized through nonlinear frequency conversion techniques such as optical parametric amplification (OPA) , difference‑frequency generation (DFG) , or optical parametric oscillation (OPO) , extending near‑infrared femtosecond lasers (e.g., 800 nm or 1030 nm) into the MIR region.
